‘Texas Fight Night’ to Air on Fight Network in Canada, Pursuit Channel in U.S.
Toronto – Fight Network, the world’s premier 24/7 television channel dedicated to complete coverage of combat sports, has signed a deal to broadcast the Texas Fight Night mixed martial arts event series.
Texas Fight Night features the best MMA fighters and fights in Texas. The series is designed to showcase the up-and-comers in professional mixed martial arts. Texas is one of the most competitive fight scenes in the U.S. and the series broadcasts the best regional prospects and established veterans in the Lone Star State.
Fight Network will air Texas Fight Night on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. ET. The series will also air on Monday nights at 11 p.m. ET as part of Fight Network’s two-hour programming block on Pursuit Channel, America’s largest outdoor television network, available in 38 million homes in the U.S.
Earlier this year, Anthem Media Group Inc., the parent company of Fight Network, made a significant equity investment in Pursuit Channel. The investment included the purchase of shares from shareholders, as well as from the Treasury, resulting in a cash injection into the company to fund future growth initiatives.
“We believe Texas Fight Night epitomizes what regional mixed martial arts at the highest level is all about,” said Chad Midgley, VP of Programming & Production at Fight Network. “With exceptional production value and exciting action every week, we’re confident our Canadian viewers will respond well to the program. In addition, Texas Fight Night is a key part of our programming block on Pursuit Channel, which aims to expose Fight Network’s brand to millions of homes in the U.S.”
Scott Casterline and Jason Kabolati, the creators of Texas Fight Night, are enthusiastic about their new partnerships. "There's a saying in Texas that if you want a good fight, we'll give you one. We are excited to bring the best of Texas MMA, Texas Fight Night, to the audience of Fight Network and Pursuit Channel", said Casterline.
Ubiquimedia, Dorado Media and Capital and Image Dynamics Agency are managing sales and distribution for Texas Fight Night. "The programming is creating traction in North America, and we couldn't be more pleased with our partnership with Pursuit Channel and Fight Network," said Johnathan Brownlee of Ubiquimedia and Dorado Media and Capital.
