Veteran lightweight competitor Jacob Volkmann has been cut by the UFC after a loss to Bobby Green back at UFC 156. Volkmann had competed in the promotion for over three years, fighting such notables as Paulo Thiago, Martin Kampmann, Danny Castillo, Efrain Escudero and Paul Sass. Volkmann did finish his UFC run with a record of 6-4-0, no word yet on where he will be competing next.
