A bantamweight division encounter has been added to UFC 159 as Johnny Bedford faces Erik Perez at the event. Bedford is currently undefeated in UFC competition, last defeating Marcos Vinicius by knockout at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale. Perez is also undefeated in UFC competition, most notably defeating Byron Bloodworth at UFC 155. UFC 159 takes place on April 27th from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey with Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen headlining.
