CHARITY APPEAL WRESTLING SHOWS PRESENT "SHUT UP AND FIGHT!"

TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW IN AID OF
THE TEENAGE CANCER TRUST

A special fundraising event in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust will be taking place on Friday 15th March 2013.

Tickets for this professional wrestling show at Stopsley Working Men's Club, Putteridge Road, in Luton, Bedfordshire, are now on sale.

The event is being organised by CAWS (Charity Appeal Wrestling Shows), who have been featured on BBC Radio three times this year (BBC Three Counties Radio, and BBC Radio Northampton), and in the Luton News newspaper; and who's website can be visited at www.cawswrestling.com.

CAWS founder Petey Staniforth, who also performs on the shows under the character name of 'Perfect' P.T. Player, said "We have worked with the Teenage Cancer Trust to raise money for their charity, since the summer of 2011, and it is a working relationship that we value highly. We are extremely proud to do what we at CAWS do, and bring attention and money to such wonderful causes, via the fun and excitement of live professional wrestling".

Tickets are available at £6 per person. Doors will open at 7pm, with the show starting at 7.30pm.

All profit will be donated to Teenage Cancer Trust. Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for the six young people aged between 13 and 24 diagnosed with cancer every day.  The charity builds specialist units within NHS hospitals that bring young people together to be treated by teenage cancer experts in a place designed just for them.

Traditionally treated alongside children or elderly patients at the end of their lives, young people can feel extremely isolated during cancer treatment, some never meeting another young person with cancer. Being treated alongside others their own age by experts in teenage and young adult cancer care, can make a huge difference to a young person’s experience.

Teenage Cancer Trust has funded, built and now maintains 25 units across the UK.  The charity plans to build a further 7 so that all young people needing hospital treatment for cancer across the UK have access to the dedicated, specialist support they provide, no matter where they live.

CAWS (Charity Appeal Wrestling Shows)

CAWS (Charity Appeal Wrestling Shows), are a group of volunteers, with many years of experience in professional wrestling. CAWS is the UK's only 100 percent non profit, charity and fundraising orientated, professional wrestling show.

CAWS are Luton, Bedfordshire, based; but available anywhere within the United Kingdom, and promote and run shows on behalf, and to raise money and awareness for charities.

CAWS make no profit from the shows themselves, and simply take their running costs back per show, and everything else is donated as profit to the charities being worked with.

CAWS believe that professional wrestling has an important role, as a form of both sports and entertainment, to give back to the community, and to those who are not as blessed.

The CAWS website can be found at www.cawswrestling.com, and CAWS management can be contacted from there in regards to any media or press enquiries, or charities who wish to get in touch.
