Fight #6 – Bellator Featherweight Tournament Semi-Final Fight

Alexandre Bezerra (15-2-0) vs. Mike Richman (14-2-0)

Referee: Herb Dean

Round One

The round begins with Bezerra attacking Richman with some leg kicks, Bezerra goes for the takedown and nearly got caught in a guillotine choke. Bezerra grabs a hold of Richman and eventually gains the takedown, Bezerra starts attacking Richman with a few short range strikes. Bezerra spins into the full mount on Richman and then he quickly gets back control, Bezerra returns to attacking Richman with ground and pound. Bezerra continuously looks for the rear naked choke on Richman until the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Richman clocking Bezerra with a few lefts, Richman also keeps Bezerra at bay by throwing a lot of strikes. Richman also attempts a high kick on Bezerra and it misses, Richman then hits Bezerra with a counter striking combination. Bezerra responds by barely hitting Richman with a right, Bezerra then pops Richman with a counter right to the jaw. Richman recovers to connect with a two punch combo on Bezerra, Bezerra begins to attack Richman with leg kicks. Bezerra then hits Richman with a front kick to the upper body, Bezerra throws a few more strikes as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Richman cracking Bezerra with a three punch combination, Bezerra responds by hitting Richman with a left hook. Richman then cracks Bezerra with a straight left before eating a right, Bezerra then scores a takedown on Richman and he gets the full guard. Bezerra quickly transitions to side control on Richman, Bezerra begins to pepper Richman with some ground and pound. Bezerra eventually gains back control on Richman, Richman scrambles and finds himself on top of Bezerra. Richman eventually allows the fight to be stood back up, Richman then cracks Bezerra with a punching combination. Richman then pops Bezerra with a few rights as well, Richman cracks Bezerra with a two punch combination as the round ends.

Fight Result: Mike Richman def. Alexandre Bezerra by split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)

Fight #7 - Bellator Middleweight Tournament Semi-Final Fight

Brett Cooper (18-7-0) vs. Dan Cramer (10-3-0)

Referee: John McCarthy

Round One

The round begins with Cramer dropping Cooper with a two punch combination, Cramer moves on top of Cooper and he continues to pound on him. Cramer transitions to the half guard on Cooper, Cooper eventually forces Cramer back into the full guard. Cramer eventually regains the half guard position on Cooper, Cramer then advances to side control on Cooper. Cramer then transitions to back control on Cooper after a short scramble, Cramer begins attacking Cooper with short range strikes. Cramer briefly gets full mount again on Cooper before Cooper scrambled to get on top of him as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Cooper immediately forcing Cramer up against the cage wall, Cramer then cracks Cooper with a few knee strikes. The referee separates the fighters after inactivity and Cooper again forces Cramer up against the cage wall, the fighters then exchange a few strikes near the cage wall. Cramer then cracks Cooper with a few knee strikes and a right, Cramer then pops Cooper with a few lefts to the face as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Cramer hitting Cooper with a three punch combination, Cooper then forces Cramer up against the cage wall. Cramer breaks free and chases Cooper while throwing some strikes, Cramer then grabs a hold of Cooper to hit him with a knee strike. Cooper then scores a takedown on Cramer and he gets the half guard, Cramer scrambles to get the fight standing. Cooper then catches Cramer with a punching combination that rocks him badly, Cooper then drops Cramer with a right and the referee jumps in.

Fight #8 - Bellator Middleweight Tournament Semi-Final Fight

Sultan Aliev (9-0-0) vs. Doug Marshall (16-6-0)

Referee: Herb Dean

Round One

The round begins with Aliev forcing Marshall up against the cage wall, Aliev eventually gets the takedown on Marshall and he gets the open guard. Aliev cracks Marshall with a few strikes as he tried to stand up, Aliev continues to hit Marshall with a lot of ground and pound. Aliev then transitions to the half guard of Marshall, Marshall uses the cage walk to get the fight standing again. Aliev scores another takedown on Marshall and he gets the half guard, Aliev again begins to attack Marshall with ground and pound. The referee stands up the fighters after inactivity and Aliev puts Marshall back on the ground as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Marshall rocking Aliev with a head kick, Aliev recovers to score a takedown on Marshall and gets side control. Marshall eventually forces Aliev into the full guard, the referee stands up the fighters after inactivity and Marshall attacks Aliev with leg kicks. Aliev tries to keep Marshall at bay by throwing a few jabs at him, Aliev scores another takedown on Marshall and he gets leg control. Marshall uses the cage walk to get the fight standing right away again, Marshall blocks an Aliev takedown by landing a knee strike. The fighters grapple along the cage wall as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Marshall trying to attack Aliev with a flying knee strike, Marshall also attempts a few high kicks on Aliev. Aliev again starts peppering Marshall with a few jabs, Marshall responds by cracking Aliev with a left hook. Aliev finds a way to drag Marshall to the ground and get back control, Marshall scrambles to get the fight standing again. Aliev forces Marshall up against the cage wall while eating a lot of short range strikes, Aliev then scores a takedown on Marshall. The referee stands up the fighters after inactivity and Aliev quickly grabs a hold of Marshall, Aliev eventually drags Marshall back to the ground. The referee stands the fighters back up and Aliev flops to his back to avoid a Marshall knee strikes, Marshall lands a few strikes on Aliev as the round ends.

Fight Result: Doug Marshall def. Sultan Aliev by split decision (30-27, 28-29, 28-29)

Main Event - Bellator Featherweight Tournament Semi-Final Fight

Magomedrasul Khasbulaev (19-5-0) vs. Marlon Sandro (24-4-0)

Referee: John McCarthy

Round One

The round begins with Sandro quickly attacking Khasbulaev with leg kicks, Khasbulaev then cracks Sandro with a kick to the midsection. Sandro accidentally nails Khasbulaev low with a knee strike and the fight is halted, the fight resumes with Khasbulaev scoring a takedown on Sandro. Sandro rolls for the arm bar and Khasbulaev quickly escapes, the fighters scramble and they both stand back up. Khasbulaev then cracks Sandro with a push kick to the face that is followed by a right, Khasbulaev then scores a takedown on Sandro. Sandro escapes an arm bar attempt from Khasbulaev and he winds up on top of him, Khasbulaev uses the kimura sweep to get himself back on top of Sandro. Khasbulaev then attempts a kimura on Sandro and Sandro escapes, Khasbulaev attacks Sandro with ground and pound as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with both fighters exchanging a few leg kicks, Sandro then connects with a push kick on Khasbulaev. Khasbulaev then hits Sandro with a body kick and a jumping side kick, Khasbulaev briefly puts Sandro on the ground with a fireman’s carry. Sandro quickly scrambles and gets himself on top of Khasbulaev, Sandro transitions to the half guard on Khasbulaev. Sandro then moves to back control on Khasbulaev, Sandro goes for the arm triangle choke and Khasbulaev explodes to his feet. Khasbulaev then catches Sandro with a two punch combination, Khasbulaev then scores a takedown on Sandro and he gets the closed guard. Khasbulaev postures up and he starts attacking Sandro with a lot of strikes, Khasbulaev then advances to the full mount on Sandro. Sandro scrambles to force Khasbulaev up against the cage wall, Khasbulaev regains back control on Sandro as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Khasbulaev immediately nailing Sandro with a left hook, Khasbulaev then scores a takedown on Sandro and he gets the open guard. Khasbulaev quickly transitions to the half guard on Sandro, Khasbulaev then moves to side control on Sandro. Khasbulaev then gets the crucifix position on Sandro while landing some more strikes, Khasbulaev then moves to back control on Sandro. Sandro finds a way to stand up with Khasbulaev holding onto him, Khasbulaev scores another takedown on Sandro and he gets the half guard. Khasbulaev attacks Sandro with more ground and pound until the referee jumps in.
