UFC heavyweight contender Matt Mitrione has been suspended by the UFC after derogatory comments the fighter made about transgender fighter Fallon Fox on the MMA Hour program. During his appearance on the program, Mitrione called Fox a “lying, sick, sociopathic, disgusting freakâ€, which is a violation of the code of conduct on his UFC contract. There is no word yet on how long he will be suspended for, but Mitrione last competed at UFC ON Fuel TV IX, where he defeated Phillip De Fries by knockout. Fox is currently 2-0-0 in her professional MMA career, last defeating Ericka Newsome by knockout at a CFA MMA event in March 2013.
