Three significant title changes occurred on Saturday night April 20 in Houston, Texas at the NWA Houston Parade of Champions Paul Boesch tribute event.

The "Killer Elite Squad" Lance Hoyt/Archer and Davey Boy Smith Jr. captured the NWA World Tag Team Titles from the "Kingz of the Underground" Scot Summers and Ryan Genesis.  This match was sanctioned by the National Wrestling Alliance and New Japan Pro Wrestling as a double title match.  New Japan Pro Wrestling's IWGP Tag Team Titles were also up for grabs in this contest.  Hoyt/Archer and Smith doubled up on Summers with a "Killer Bomb" to pick up the victory.

By virtue of a sunset flip/pin combination, the "Tokyo Monster" Kahagas defeated "Addictive and Expensive" Byron Wilcott to become the new NWA North American Heavyweight Champion.  Kahagas is also a former NWA World Heavyweight Champion and National Heavyweight Champion.

Ray Rowe defeated "One Man" Mike Dell to become the new NWA Lone Star Jr. Heavyweight Champion.  Rowe's devastating "Death Rowe" finishing move allowed him to secure the victory.  In March, Rowe, a former heavyweight, made the decision to cut weight and enter the Jr. heavyweight division with his sights set on Dell and the NWA Lone Star Jr. Heavyweight Title.  Rowe's commitment paid off as he officially qualified for the match the day prior by weighing in at 219 pounds.

In other action, NWA World Heavyweight Champion "Ironman" Rob Conway used his patented "Ego Trip" to successfully defend his title against the former "Masterpiece", Chris Adonis.  Conway used the same maneuver on March 16 in San Antonio Texas when he defeated Kahagas to become champion.  When the match was over, NWA President Bruce Tharpe awarded Conway with a brand new NWA Domed Globe World Title belt.

NWA Lone Star Heavyweight Champion "Vanilla Godzilla" Jax Dane successfully defended his title against the "Canadian Lion" Lance Erikson.  Dane used a power slam to pick up the pin.  Erikson entered this match ranked #2 in the NWA heavyweight division.

"The Xperience" Damien Wayne defeated Carson to retain the NWA National Heavyweight Title.  Carson, a former NWA North American Heavyweight Champion, seemingly had the match in hand until he was distracted by former tag team partner "Modern Day Hero" Kevin Douglas.  The distraction gave Wayne a chance to recover.  When Carson turned to face his opponent, Wayne was able to administer a pile driver and pick up the victory.

The team of Jasper Davis and Dave Duperon defeated Jack Jameson and Rudy Russo in the opening match of the evening.
