Here are the quick results from the Coastal Pro Wrestling show that took place in Hammonton, NJ on 4/27.
In the opening match, “The Canadian Blade” Edouard Gillette ruined the Coastal debut of “Ths Steel City Prodigy” Ryan Mitchell. After the match, Gillette was approached by Nicky Benz, who asked to speak with him privately about a new faction he was forming at Coastal.
Kai Katana had a successful Coastal debut, as he defeated the popular Luscious LaRon. Katana was also approached by Benz after his match. It appears that Benz is making an attempt an developing an international stable.
Biggie Biggs successfully defended his Coastal Heavyweight Title in a fun match against Erik C. Jones.
In a very exciting special challenge match, Josh “Absolute” Adams narrowly defeated former Iron Man Champion Kevin Tibbs with a rollup (and pull of the tights) that was missed by the ref. Interestingly enough, Tibbs did the same thing a minute before, and the count was stopped once Tibbs was caught. After the match, Tibbs exchanged words with Commissioner Phil Varlese about “getting screwed again”. Tibbs was also approached by Nicky Benz, who said he was confident that he could change Tibbs’ recent streak of bad luck. After the show, Commissioner Phil Varlese ordered a rematch between the two at the next show.
Vicious Vince Ceres defeated Lance Steel, who was also making his Coastal debut.
In the first round of the Coastal Tag Team Championship tournament, the Westville Murphys (Jon Dahmer & Ryan Slater from The 4ce) defeated the team of “2nd To None” Alex Anthony, and “The Underground” Jael Rose. The Murphys seemed to concentrate their attack on Anthony, trying to keep the larger Rose out of the action. They will now move on to face the next tag team in the tourney, and challenged Coastal to come up with a better team to face them.
Arlene James was defeated by Kimber Lee. While the fans were clearly behind James, who was making her Coastal debut, it was Lee who put on a wrestling clinic after fans challenged her wrestling ability.
In the main event, the team of Johnny Calzone & Alex Payne defeated Ricky Reyes and Biggie Biggs. After the match, the rest of the 4ce hit the ring, and continued a beatdown on the Coastal champions. The entire Coastal roster hit the ring to protect their turf and their champions, and before the show ended, Phil Varlese sanctioned a leather strap lumberjack match to take place between Johnny Calzone and Biggie Biggs at the next Coastal show, with a date to be announced.
