A failed pre-fight medical exam has forced Chris Barnett off the Maximum Fighting Championships 37 card, he was scheduled to fight Smealinho Rama for the vacant heavyweight title. Barnett failed the pre-fight medical exam after doctors found three holes in his retina, the title fight will be rescheduled for some time in the future. A bantamweight bout between Ryan Benoit and Anthony Birchak will now headline the card, while a preliminary fight between Allen Hope and Paul Grandbois will now be added to the main card. Maximum Fighting Championships 37 takes place on May 10th from the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada with the aforementioned bantamweight fight headlining.
