The UFC roster has been slimmed down even more today as Justin Lawrence, Issei Tamura, Kurt Holobaugh, Reuben Duran and Sam Sicilia have been released by the promotion. Lawrence will leave the promotion on a two fight losing skid, but he was a cast member on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 15. Tamura had a strange statistic during his UFC run as all three of his fight ended in under thirty seconds of the second round, he only won once.
Holobaugh only competed once under the UFC banner, dropping a fight to Steven Siler via decision at UFC 159. Duran only won one of four during his run in the UFC, with that lone victory coming over Francisco Rivera. Sicilia will leave the UFC riding a two fight losing streak, with those losses coming to both Rony Bezzera and Maximo Blanco.
