Due to his outright refusal to defend the XFC Lightweight Championships against Scott Holtzman, Nick Newell has been stripped of the title and a new champion will be crowned at XFC 24. Holtzman will remain in the championship match, although a new opponent has yet to be announced. It is unclear if Newell will remain part of the XFC roster, but things are not looking to good at the moment. Xtreme Fighting Championships 24 takes place on June 14th from a venue TBA in Tampa, Florida with Scott Holtzman and an opponent TBA headlining.
