Following the whole Nick Newell controversy, John Mahlow has agreed to step in and fight Scott Holtzman for the vacant XFC Lightweight Title at XFC 24. Mahlow is a well-traveled MMA veteran who has fought top names like Mac Danzig, Jeff Curran, Mark Bocek and Junior Assuncao. Holtzman earned an opportunity at the XFC Lightweight Title after defeating Jason Hicks by decision at XFC 22. XFC 24 takes place on June 14th from the USF Sun Dome in Tampa, Florida with the aforementioned fighters headlining.
