A big heavyweight division fight has been added to UFC 161 as Roy Nelson will be in action against Stipe Miocic. Nelson will enter the fight riding a three fight winning streak, with his last victory coming over Cheick Kongo at UFC 159. Miocic has won three of four under the UFC banner, but his last fight was a loss to Stefan Struve at UFC ON Fuel TV V.
Miocic was original set to fight Sao Palelei at the event, but due to the change in the card, Palelei will now serve as a backup if any of the heavyweights on the card (Nelson, Miocic, Pat Barry or Shawn Jordan) are injured. UFC 161 takes place on June 15th from the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada with Rashad Evans and Dan Henderson headlining.
