Invicta FC Strawweight Champion Carla Esparza has suffered an injury and is off the Invicta FC VI card, replacing her against Ayaka Hamasaki is Claudia Gadelha. Hamasaki is currently undefeated as a pro and is also the current Pancrase Women’s Lightweight Champion. Gadelha is also undefeated in her professional MMA career, having spent time in the Shooto: Brazil promotion. With the change of opponents, Joanne Calderwood, who was originally set to face Gadelha, now has no opponent at this time. Invicta FC VI takes place on July 13th from the Ameristar Hotel & Casino in Kansas City, Missouri with Cristiane Santos and Marloes Coenen headlining.
