UFC and WEC veteran Diego Nunes has signed a multi-fight contract with the Bellator Fighting Championships, he is expected to debut sometime in season nine. Nunes was released from the UFC after a 3-3-0 run with the promotion, his final UFC fight was a loss to Nik Lentz at UFC On FX VII. During his six fight run in the UFC, Nunes fought the likes of Kenny Florian, Dennis Siver, Bart Palaszewski and Nik Lentz.
