The ninth season of the Bellator Fighting Championships will kick off with a bantamweight tournament bout as Joe Warren faces Nick Kirk. Warren is a former Bellator Featherweight Champion and he will compete in a tournament for the first time in almost two years. Kirk is currently winless in Bellator competition, having lost to both David Harris and Tony Zelinski respectively. Bellator 99 takes place on September 7th from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with no headliner announced as of yet.
