A potential title eliminator in the bantamweight division as Joseph Benavidez will compete against Jussier Formiga. Benavidez will enter the fight riding a two fight winning streak, last defeated Darren Uyenoyama at UFC On Fox VII. Formiga will be looking to build on the momentum on his first UFC victory, which came over Chris Cariaso at UFC On FX VIII. UFC On Fox Sports 1 #3 takes place on September 4th from a venue to be announced in Brazil with no headliner announced as of yet.
