A new bantamweight champion will be crowned at Cage Warriors 59 as James Pennington, David Haggstrom, Martin McDonough and Brett Johns compete for the gold. Pennington is currently undefeated in Cage Warriors competition, having defeated James Doolan at Cage Warriors 53. Haggstrom will enter the tournament riding a three fight winning streak, with two victories coming in the Vision FC promotion.
McDonough is also undefeated in Cage Warriors competition, defeating Dino Gambatesa, Alex Enlund and Mark Platts. Johns is the only undefeated fighter in the tournament, with two victories coming in the Cage Warriors promotion. Cage Warriors 59 takes place on September 14th from the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, Wales with the tournament finals headlining.
