The UFC Middleweight Title rematch is set and will happen at UFC 168 as champion Chris Weidman will defend the gold against Anderson Silva. Weidman just won the championship back at UFC 162 when he knocked out Silva in the second round of the fight. Silva’s defeat was the first loss the fighter has ever suffered in the UFC and his first MMA loss since January 2006 (Yushin Okami defeated him by DQ). The originally scheduled main event of UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate will now be the co-main event. UFC 168 takes place on December 28th from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with the aforementioned fighters headlining.
