Following an injury to Paulo Thiago, Brian Melancon has agreed to step in on late notice to fight Kelvin Gastelum at UFC Ultimate Fight Night 27. Melancon is currently undefeated in UFC competition, having defeated Seth Baczynski by knockout at UFC 162. Gastelum is also undefeated in UFC competition and was the winner of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 17 reality show. UFC Ultimate Fight Night 27 takes place on August 28th from the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana with Carlos Condit and Martin Kampmann headlining.
