Two time Strikeforce veteran Hiroko Yamanaka has announced her retirement, she retires with a record of 12-3-0-1NC. Besides competing stateside for Strikeforce and Invicta FC, Yamanaka primarily competed in Japan for promotions like Smackgirl and Jewels. During her seven year MMA career, Yamanaka competed against the likes of Hitomi Akano, Cristiane Justino, Germaine Da Randamie and Ediane Gomes. Yamanaka’s final career fight happened at Invicta FC IV in January 2014, suffering a decision defeat to the aforementioned Gomes.
