The UFC Lightweight Championship will be defended at UFC On Fox IX as Anthony Pettis defends against Josh Thomson. Pettis will be making the first defense of his championship, which he won by defeating Ben Henderson at UFC 164. Thomson is currently undefeated in his second UFC run, having defeated Nate Diaz by TKO at UFC On Fox VII. UFC On Fox IX takes place on December 14th from the Sleep Train Arena in Seattle, Washington with the aforementioned fighters headlining.
