Tonight’s card includes…

Bellator Lightweight Division Fight: Efrain Escudero vs. Zack Surdyka

Fight #1 – Bellator Welterweight Division Fight

Johnny Buck (12-8-0) vs. Adam McDonough (8-0-0)

Referee: Doug Birch

Round One

The round begins with McDonough attacking Buck with a spinning back kick, McDonough then rocks Buck with an uppercut and several knee strikes. Buck scores a takedown on McDonough and he gets the half guard, McDonough eventually forces Buck into the full guard. The referee stands up the fighters after inactivity and McDonough nails Buck with a spinning back kick, McDonough then pops Buck with a pair of lefts. McDonough then drops Buck with a knee strike and he pounces on him with strikes, McDonough nails Buck with an illegal strike and the fight is halted. The fight resumes with McDonough charging at Buck while landing some strikes, Buck gets the takedown on McDonough after eating a kick to the midsection. McDonough scrambles to get the fight standing again, McDonough then cracks Buck with an upper cut and a spinning back kick. McDonough pounces on a downed Buck and the referee jumps in.

Fight Result: Adam McDonough def. Johnny Buck by TKO via strikes (4:51, R1)

Fight #2 – Bellator Heavyweight Division Fight

Dan Charles (7-0-0) vs. Mighty Mo (3-2-0)

Referee: Jason Herzog

Round One

The round begins with Charles catching Mo with a kick to the midsection, Mo recovers by nailing Charles with a left hook. Charles grabs a hold of Mo to crack him with some knee strikes, Charles accidentally hits Mo low with a knee strike and the fight is halted. The fight resumes with Mo cracking Charles with a two punch combination, Mo then hits Charles with a knee to the crotch and the fight is halted again. The fight resumes with Charles nailing Mo with a left, the fighters clinch up and exchange a few knee strikes. Mo botches a takedown attempt and nearly got caught in a standing guillotine from Charles, Mo hits Charles with a few rights as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Mo getting standing back control on Charles, Charles switches spots on Mo and he eats a ton of strikes to the midsection. Charles responds by clobbering Mo with a ton of knee strikes, Mo continues to attack Charles with shots to the midsection while still eating knee strikes. Mo looks for the takedown after eating more knee strikes, Charles looks for the takedown and Mo winds up on top of him. Mo gets side control on Charles while attacking him with some strikes, Charles holds onto Mo as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Mo going back to his body punching attack on Charles, Charles responds by landing a few knee strikes on Mo. Mo chases Charles around the cage while landing a few strikes that rock him, Mo drops Charles with a plethora of strikes and the referee quickly jumps in.

Fight Result: Mighty Mo def. Dan Charles by TKO via strikes (1:26, R3)

Fight #3 – Bellator Light Heavyweight Division Fight

Liam McGeary (4-0-0) vs. Beau Tribolet (7-2-0)

Referee: Ron Nation

Round One

The round begins with McGeary nailing Tribolet with some leg kicks, Tribolet quickly recovers to hit McGeary with a two punch combination. McGeary then cracks Tribolet with a right and he goes out cold.

Fight Result: Liam McGeary def. Beau Tribolet by KO via punch (0:27, R1)

Fight #4 – Bellator Light Heavyweight Division Fight

Clifford Starks (8-2-0) vs. Joe Yager (5-2-0)

Referee: Doug Birch

Round One

The round begins with Yager keeping Starks at bay by throwing a lot of jabs, Yager looks for the takedown and Starks makes him pay with a few rights. Yager begins to attack Starks with some leg kicks, Starks swings wildly at Yager and he connects with a left on him. Yager forces Starks up against the cage wall while landing a few knee strikes on him, Starks scores a takedown on Yager and he gets the full guard. Starks tries to attack Yager with some ground and pound, Yager uses the wall walk to stand up while eating a lot of strikes from Starks. Starks again drags Yager to the ground and he gets the half guard, Starks starts attacking Yager with some strikes as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Starks barely catching Yager with a left, the fighters have a wild exchange in the center of the cage. Yager goes back to attacking Starks with some leg kicks, Starks looks for the takedown on Yager and he eats a knee strike. Starks then scores a takedown on Yager and he gets the half guard, the referee stands up the fighters after inactivity and Starks cracks Yager with a knee strike. Starks charges forward on Yager while throwing some strikes at him, Starks eats a counter right from Yager as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Starks attacking Yager with punches to the midsection, Yager responds by landing a knee strike that is followed by an elbow strike. Yager then barely connects with a head kick on Starks, the fighters tie up and Starks nails Yager with a knee strike. Starks scores a takedown on Yager and he gets the full guard, Starks attacks Yager with some ground and pound. The referee stands up the fighters after inactivity and Yager attacks Starks with elbow strikes as he looks for the takedown, Starks scores another takedown on Yager and he gets the half guard. Yager uses the cage walk to get the fight standing again, Starks again gets the takedown on Yager and he gets the open guard as the round ends.

Fight Result: Clifford Starks def. Joe Yager by unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27)

Fight #5 – Bellator Lightweight Division Fight

LaRue Burley (2-0-0) vs. Bubba Jenkins (4-0-0)

Referee: Al Gagne

Round One

The round begins with Jenkins scoring a takedown on Burley after he caught a head kick attempt, Jenkins gains the half guard on Burley. Burley uses a sweep to get the fight standing again, Jenkins scores another takedown on Burley and he gets the half guard. Jenkins starts to attack Burley with some ground and pound, Jenkins transitions to back control on Burley. Burley finds a way to stand up with Jenkins holding onto him, Jenkins scores another takedown on Burley and he gets side control. Burley briefly stands up and Jenkins brings him back down, Jenkins again gets back control on Burley after the takedown. Burley explodes to his feet again and Jenkins gets another takedown on him, Jenkins attacks Burley with more ground and pound as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Burley attacking Jenkins with a kick to the midsection, Burley then hits Jenkins with a high kick during a takedown attempt. Jenkins then hits a leaping Burley with a counter left, Jenkins accidentally pokes Burley in the eye and the fight is halted. The fight resumes with Burley kicking Jenkins in the rib cage, Jenkins eventually gets the takedown on Burley and he gets back control. Burley scrambles to get the fight standing again, Burley barely nails Jenkins with a flying knee strike before countering his takedown to get on top of him. Jenkins eventually sweeps Burley to get back on top of him, Burley hits Jenkins with an accidental knee strike and the fight is halted. The fight resumes with Burley pouncing on Jenkins with a ton of strikes, Burley then starts to attack Jenkins with some leg kicks, Burley nails Jenkins with some more strikes as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Jenkins instantly getting the takedown on Burley, Burley starts to escape by attacking Jenkins with a ton of short range strikes. Jenkins gets back on top of Burley and almost gets caught in a guillotine choke, Jenkins transitions to the half guard on Burley. Burley uses the cage walk sweep to get full mount on Jenkins, Burley advances to back control on Jenkins. Burley starts to attack Jenkins with some ground and pound, Jenkins uses a switch to get Burley off of him for a few moments. Burley then postures up on Jenkins and he pounds on him until the referee jumps in.

Fight Result: LaRue Burley def. Bubba Jenkins by TKO via strikes (3:40, R3)

Fight #6 – Bellator Bantamweight Tournament Semi-Final Fight

Brandon Bender (11-0-0) vs. Travis Marx (20-4-0)

Referee: Doug Birch

Round One

The round begins with Marx attacking Bender with a high kick, Marx looks for the takedown and Bender nearly catches him with a few different chokes. Bender quickly transitions to back control on a downed Marx, Bender starts looking for the rear naked choke on Marx. Marx does his best to attack Bender with strikes while he is on his back, Bender starts nailing Marx with some strikes as well. Bender looks for more chokes on Marx as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Marx charging at Bender while landing a few strikes, Marx also starts to attack Bender with some leg kicks. Marx follows that up by landing a kick to the midsection of Bender, Marx also catches Bender with a left hook. Marx also starts to attack Bender with a variety of kicks, Bender responds by hitting Marx with a counter strike combo. Marx starts to mix some knee strikes in his attack on Bender, Marx then hits Bender with a left to the midsection. Marx then pounces on a dazed Bender with a variety of strikes, Marx continuously lands kicks to the midsection of Bender. Marx drops Bender with a knee to the midsection and he lands a few more strikes until the referee jumps in.

Fight Result: Travis Marx def. Brandon Bender by TKO via strikes (4:28, R2)
