Fight Network Signs Three-Year Broadcast Deal with Maximum Fighting Championship
Toronto – Fight Network, the world’s premier 24/7 television channel dedicated to complete coverage of combat sports, has signed a three-year international programming partnership with the Alberta-based Maximum Fighting Championship.
Fight Network has acquired the broadcast rights to the MFC’s 38-show archive, which has featured numerous former world champions and top MMA stars, including Benson Henderson, Ryan Jimmo, Douglas Lima, Patrick Cote, Jason MacDonald, Thales Leites, Paul Daley and John Alessio.
In addition, Fight Network will broadcast future MFC events on a 2-week tape delay basis, beginning with MFC 38: Behind Enemy Lines on Oct. 4 in Edmonton, feature three world title fights, including Sam Alvey vs. Jason South, Anthony Birchak vs. Tito Jones and Smealinho Rama vs. Anthony Hamilton.
Fight Network’s MFC broadcasts will air in Canada, as well as internationally as part of Fight Network’s expansion on ZON in Portugal, D-Smart in Turkey, and ZAP in Angola and Mozambique.
