Prior to the weigh-ins for the upcoming Shooto: Brazil 43 card, bantamweight fighter Leandro Souza passed away prior to weighing in. Although there is no cause of death as of this writing, many have speculated that his death was related to cutting weight for his bout against Gabriel Brasil. Souza’s professional MMA record was 5-5-0, he was training with the famed Nova Uniao fight camp out of Brazil. We here at PWInsiderXtra.com would like to extend our condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Leandro Souza.
