A lightweight division rematch has been added to UFC On Fox IX as Roger Bowling will again fight Abel Trujillo, their first fight at UFC Ultimate Fight Night 27 ended in a no contest after Trujillo nailed Bowling with an illegal knee strike. Bowling is currently winless in UFC competition, also dropping a fight to Anthony Njokuani at UFC On Fox VII. Trujillo has split both of his other UFC fights, defeating Marcus LeVesseur and dropping a fight to Khabib Nurmagomedov. UFC On Fox IX takes place on December 14th from the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California with Anthony Pettis and Josh Thomson headlining.
