Fight #9 - UFC Flyweight Division Fight

John Dodson (15-6-0) vs. Darrell Montague (13-2-0)

Round One

The round begins with Montague catching a swinging Dodson with a knee strike, Montague then starts attacking Dodson with leg kicks. Dodson responds by nailing Montague with a left hook, Dodson follows that up by clipping Montague with a right. Dodson follows that up by cracking Montague with a counter left, Dodson then drops Montague with another left. Dodson pounces on a severely rocked Montague and Montague somehow survives, Dodson then cracks Montague with a trio of punches to the face. Montague cracks Dodson with a left before eating some more strikes, Dodson drops Montague with a left hook and the referee jumps in.

Fight Result: John Dodson def. Darrell Montague by KO via left hook (4:13, R1)

Fight #10 - UFC Heavyweight Division Fight

Gabriel Gonzaga (15-7-0) vs. Shawn Jordan (15-4-0)

Referee: Jay Stafin

Round One

The round begins with Gonzaga attacking Jordan with some leg kicks, Gonzaga charges at Jordan while landing a right. Gonzaga follows that up with a right to the belly of Jordan, Gonzaga drops a swinging Jordan with a counter uppercut and he follows it up with more strikes until the referee jumps in.

Fight Result: Gabriel Gonzaga def. Shawn Jordan by TKO via strikes (1:33, R1)

Fight #11 - UFC Lightweight Division Fight

Gilbert Melendez (21-3-0) vs. Diego Sanchez (26-5-0)

Referee: Kerry Hatley

Round One

The round begins with Melendez attacking Sanchez with leg kicks, Sanchez scores a takedown on Melendez and he gets back control. Melendez stands up with Sanchez still on his back, Melendez shakes Sanchez off of him and pops him with a right to the midsection. Sanchez looks to attack Melendez with a head kick, Sanchez looks for a takedown and Melendez levels him with a knee strike. Sanchez moves in on Melendez and gets caught with an uppercut, Melendez then cracks Sanchez with a few rights. Sanchez recovers by landing a kick to the midsection of Melendez, Melendez then cracks a ducking Sanchez with a right to the belly region. Sanchez backs up Melendez by landing a pair of kicks to the rib cage, Melendez drops Sanchez during a striking exchange as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Melendez nailing Sanchez with a right to the midsection, Melendez follows that up with a right on Sanchez. Melendez then pops an incoming Sanchez with a counter right, Sanchez lands a bunch of blows to the midsection of Melendez. The referee halts the fight to have a cut on Sanchez checked, the fight resumes with Melendez kicking Sanchez in the midsection. The fighters have a wild exchange near the cage wall, Sanchez then cracks Melendez with a striking combination. Sanchez slips during a kick and Melendez makes him pay with a few punches, Melendez hits a swinging Sanchez with a counter right. Sanchez responds by cracking Melendez with a kick to the rib cage, Sanchez scores a brief takedown on Melendez. Melendez then rocks Sanchez with a multi-punch combination, Sanchez looks for a takedown and Melendez catches him with a knee strike as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Melendez attacking Sanchez with a front kick, Sanchez then hits Melendez with a counter left. The fighters have a few wild exchanges at the center of the octagon, Sanchez goes crazy and chases Melendez around the octagon while they just throw like crazy at each other. Melendez starts to get the better of Sanchez during the wild exchanges, the referee again halts the fight so the doctor can look at the cut on his eye lid. The fight resumes with Sanchez kicking Melendez in the rib cage, the fighters continue to have wild exchanges. Sanchez drops Melendez with an uppercut and immediately gets back control on him, Sanchez then rolls for the guillotine choke and Melendez escapes. Melendez gets up and cracks Sanchez with a knee strike, Sanchez keeps landing kicks to the body of Melendez. The fighters have another wild exchange as the round ends.

Fight Result: Gilbert Melendez def. Diego Sanchez by unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 29-28)

Fight #12 - UFC Heavyweight Division Fight

Daniel Cormier (12-0-0) vs. Roy Nelson (20-8-0)

Referee: Jacob Montalvo

Round One

The round begins with Cormier popping Nelson with a few jabs, Cormier scores a takedown on Nelson and he gets the open guard. Cormier then starts attacking Nelson with some ground and pound, Nelson finds a way to stand up with Cormier holding onto him. Cormier cracks Nelson with a knee strike while still holding onto him, Cormier uses the dirty boxing on Nelson. Cormier follows that up by landing some big knee strikes on Nelson, Cormier accidentally nails Nelson low and the fight is halted. The fight resumes with Cormier popping Nelson with jabs, Cormier then cracks Nelson with a three punch combination. Cormier lands a left on Nelson as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Nelson peppering Cormier with some jabs, Cormier follows Nelson around the octagon while landing some strikes. Nelson does his best to hit Cormier with his big right hand, Cormier then pops Nelson with a right before putting him up against the cage wall. Cormier nails Nelson with a knee strike and a two punch combination, Cormier holds Nelson up against the cage wall. Cormier also continues to hit Nelson with striking combinations, Cormier backs away before popping Nelson with more strikes. Cormier starts to mix in some leg kicks in his attack on Nelson, Cormier attacks Nelson with a few kicks as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Cormier cracking Nelson with a right, Nelson looks to attack Cormier with punches to the midsection. Cormier goes back to attacking Nelson with some leg kicks, Cormier barely connects with a spinning back kick on Nelson. Cormier follows that up by nailing Nelson with a kick to the rib cage, Nelson recovers to crack Cormier with a left. Cormier then hits Nelson with a variety of kicks, Cormier briefly puts Nelson on the ground with a takedown. Nelson chases Cormier around the cage while landing leg kicks as the round ends.

Fight Result: Daniel Cormier def. Roy Nelson by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Main Event - UFC Heavyweight Title Fight

Cain Velasquez (12-1-0) (Champion) vs. Junior Dos Santos (16-2-0)

Referee: Herb Dean

Round One

The round begins with Dos Santos rocking Velasquez with a few quick strikes, Velasquez rebounds by cracking Dos Santos with a few lefts. Velasquez cracks Dos Santos with a right before looking for a takedown, Velasquez attacks Dos Santos with strikes while in the clinch. Dos Santos recovers to hit Velasquez with a two punch combo, the fighters have a striking exchange on the cage wall. Dos Santos then nails Velasquez with a head kick, Velasquez holds onto Dos Santos while nailing him with knee strikes to the thigh. Velasquez scores a takedown on Dos Santos and he gets the full mount, Dos Santos eventually gets Velasquez into the half guard. Velasquez gains back control on Dos Santos for a short time, Dos Santos uses the wall walk to get the fight standing. Velasquez starts attacking Dos Santos with a lot of dirty boxing as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Velasquez cracking Dos Santos with a left hook and knee strike, Velasquez puts Dos Santos against the cage wall while landing knee strikes. Velasquez continuously looks for the takedown on Dos Santos, Velasquez gets a hold of Dos Santos to nail him with more knee strikes. Dos Santos briefly scores a takedown on Velasquez, Velasquez makes him pay by popping him with some rights. Velasquez holds Dos Santos up against the cage wall while landing more strikes, Dos Santos cracks Velasquez with a pair of strikes as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Dos Santos cracking Velasquez with a right, Velasquez quickly gets Dos Santos up against the cage wall. Velasquez then crushes Dos Santos with a right to the skull, Velasquez goes back to attacking Dos Santos with some dirty boxing. Dos Santos trying to get Velasquez off of him by landing elbow strikes, Dos Santos makes space after hitting Velasquez with a right. Velasquez drops Dos Santos with a wild right and he pounces on him, Dos Santos gets up and Velasquez pounces on him again with a bunch of strikes. Velasquez goes back to attacking Dos Santos with dirty boxing, Velasquez tags Dos Santos with more strikes as the round ends.

Round Four

The round begins with Dos Santos quickly nailing Velasquez with a left, Velasquez responds by nailing Dos Santos with a right. Velasquez follows that up with a huge flurry of strikes on Dos Santos, Velasquez then forces Dos Santos up against the cage wall. Velasquez keeps up the attack on Dos Santos by clobbering him with a ton of elbow strikes, Velasquez holds Dos Santos against the cage wall as the round ends.

Round Five

The round begins with Dos Santos hitting Velasquez with an uppercut, Velasquez scores a takedown on Dos Santos and he gets the full guard. Velasquez starts to attack Dos Santos with some ground and pound, Dos Santos uses the wall walk to get the fight standing. Velasquez then starts attacking Dos Santos with more dirty boxing, Velasquez just starts pummeling Dos Santos with a lot of rights. Dos Santos recovers to nail Velasquez with a lot of elbow strikes, Velasquez chases Dos Santos around the cage while landing some rights. Dos Santos looks for a guillotine choke, Velasquez escapes and pummels Dos Santos with strikes until the ref jumps in.

Fight Result: Cain Velasquez def. Junior Dos Santos by TKO via strikes (3:09, R5) to retain the UFC Heavyweight Title
