Fight #6 - Bellator Featherweight Division Fight

Mike Richman (15-3-0) vs. Akop Stepanyan (13-6-0)

Round One

The round begins with Richman attacking Stepanyan with some leg kicks, Stepanyan then cracks a swinging Richman with a spinning elbow strike. Stepanyan then rocks Richman with a right hook to the jaw, Stepanyan follows that up by nailing Richman with a spinning back kick. Stepanyan keeps the pressure on Richman by hitting him with a three strike combo, Stepanyan continues to nail Richman with some hooks. Stepanyan also is starting to nail a swinging Richman with a lot of counter strikes, Richman recovers by hitting Stepanyan with a pair of strikes. Stepanyan rocks Richman with a right before they have a wild striking exchange, Richman then drops Stepanyan with a left hook and he pounces on him until the referee jumps in.

Fight Result: Mike Richman def. Akop Stepanyan by TKO via strikes (4:05, R1)

Fight #7 - Bellator Fight Master Finals

Joe Riggs (39-14-0) vs. Mike Bronzoulis (15-5-1)

Referee: John McCarthy

Round One

The round begins with Bronzoulis attacking Riggs with some leg kicks, Bronzoulis also catches Riggs with a push kick. Riggs chases Bronzoulis around the cage while throwing strikes, Bronzoulis moves in on Riggs and gets nails with a ton of strike instead. Riggs scores a takedown on Bronzoulis and he gets the open guard, Bronzoulis tries to attack Riggs with strikes from his back. Riggs transitions to back control on Bronzoulis, Bronzoulis causes a scramble and Riggs remains in control and on top of him, Riggs attacks Bronzoulis with a few strikes as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Riggs quickly scoring a takedown on Bronzoulis, Riggs quickly finds himself with the half guard on Bronzoulis. Bronzoulis uses the wall walk to get the fight standing again, Riggs holds Bronzoulis up against the cage wall while landing knee strikes. Bronzoulis recovers by cracking Riggs with a left to the skull, Bronzoulis then kicks Riggs right in the midsection. Riggs eats a knee strike before scoring a takedown on Bronzoulis, Riggs quickly transitions to side control on Bronzoulis. Riggs then advances to back control on Bronzoulis, Riggs starts to attack Bronzoulis with some short range strikes. Bronzoulis tries to stand up and Riggs trips him back to the ground, Riggs goes a little too high and Bronzoulis scrambles to get on top of him. Riggs rolls for the triangle choke on Bronzoulis as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Riggs hitting Bronzoulis with a two punch combination, Bronzoulis charges forward on Riggs while landing some strikes. Riggs then scores a takedown on Bronzoulis and he gets the half guard, Riggs quickly transitions to side control on Bronzoulis. Riggs scrambles to get himself in back control position on Bronzoulis, Riggs tries to pepper Bronzoulis with short range strikes. Bronzoulis finds a way to stand up with Riggs on his back, Riggs eventually drags Bronzoulis back to the ground. Bronzoulis scrambles and gets himself on top of Riggs as the round ends.

Fight Result: Joe Riggs def. Mike Bronzoulis by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Fight #8 - Bellator Featherweight Title Fight

Pat Curran (19-4-0) (Champion) vs. Daniel Straus (21-4-0)

Round One

The round begins with Curran popping Straus with a short right, Straus then scores a takedown on Curran and he gets the open guard. Curran uses the wall walk to get the fight standing, Strausmakes him pay by popping him with a left to the face. Straus follows that up with a kick to the rib cage of Curran, Curran accidentally kicks Straus low and the fight is halted. The fight resumes with both fighters attacking the other with kicks, Straus forces Curran against the cage wall before eating an elbow strike. Straus nails Curran with a left before scoring a takedown on him, Curran hits Straus with elbow strikes before getting to his feet. Curran tries nailing Straus with a few knee strikes as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Straus attacking Curran with some leg kicks, Curran then pops an incoming Straus with a left hook. Curran then rocks Straus with a left and a jumping knee strike, Straus recovers to nail Curran with a left. Straus follows that up by landing a kick to the midsection of Curran, Curran responds with a multi-strike combo on Straus. Curran keeps the pressure on Straus by landing a few body shots, the fighters take the opportunity to exchange a few kicks. Curran clinches with Straus before landing a standing elbow strike, Curran follows that up with a two punch combo on Straus as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Straus popping Curran with a three punch combination, Curran trips up Straus with some low leg kicks. Straus makes his move by nailing Curran with a left to the belly region, Straus forces Curran up against the cage wall. Straus attacks Curran with some knee strikes while in the clinch, Straus uses a judo throw to launch Curran directly into the fence. Curran cracks Straus with an illegal knee strike to the head as he was a downed opponent, the referee takes a point from Curran for the foul. The fight resumes with Straus scoring a takedown on Curran and getting side control, Curran scrambles to force Straus into the full guard as the round ends.

Round Four

The round begins with Straus quickly forcing Curran up against the cage wall, Straus eventually scores the takedown on Curran. Curran uses the wall walk to stand back up again, Straus uses a slam takedown to put Curran back onto the ground. Curran gets back to his feet while eating knee strikes from Straus, Straus again drags Curran to the ground. Curran looks for the guillotine choke and Straus escapes, Straus then starts to attack Curran with ground and pound until the round ends.

Round Five

The round begins with Curran cracking Straus with a multi-strike combination, Straus responds with a two punch combo on Curran. Straus barely hits an incoming Curran with a knee to the midsection, Straus then attacks Curran with a flying knee strike. Straus follows that up by rocking Curran with a counter left and a knee strike, Straus takes the chance to force Curran against the cage wall. The fighters battle for position along the cage wall, Straus avoids a takedown from Curran by nailing him with knee strikes. Straus scores a takedown on Curran as the round ends.

Fight Result: Daniel Straus def. Pat Curran by unanimous decision (49-45, 48-46, 48-46) to win the championship

Fight #9 - Bellator Interim Light Heavyweight Title Decision Fight

King Mo (11-2-0) vs. Emmanuel Newton (21-7-1)

Round One

The round begins with Newton keeping Mo at bay by throwing a lot of kicks, Mo scores a takedown on Newton and he gets back control. Mo starts attacking Newton with some lefts until they stood up, Mo again scores a takedown on Newton and Newton pops right up. Mo just assaults Newton with a plethora of rights before separating, Newton goes for a spinning back fist and Mo gets the takedown instead. Mo starts attacking Newton with some ground and pound, Newton finds a way to stand up after eating a knee to the rib cage. Mo taunts Newton as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Newton attacking Mo with a bunch of kicks, Mo responds by cracking Newton with a two punch combination. Mo forces Newton against the cage wall as they exchange some knee strikes, Mo scores a takedown on Newton and he gets the full guard. Newton causes a scramble that gets the fight to the feet, Newton then drops Mo with a kick to the head. Mo stands up and he eats some more strikes from Newton, Mo recovers by popping Newton with an uppercut. Newton cracks a swinging Mo with a counter right, Newton then stuns Mo with a right to the top of the head as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Mo cracking Newton with a counter right, Newton changes his attack by nailing Mo with leg kicks. Newton then cracks Mo with a punch/kick combination, Mo comes forward on Newton while landing a few blows. Newton finally catches Mo with a spinning back kick after attempting so many of them, Newton then hits a swinging Mo with a right to the head. Newton follows that up by cracking Mo with a short counter right, Newton blocks a few takedown attempts from Mo, Newton charges at Mo while throwing strikes as the round ends.

Round Four

The round begins with Newton cracking Mo with a kick to the midsection, Newton follows that up by clobbering Mo with a spinning back kick. Mo responds by hitting Newton with a right to the skull, Mo charges at Newton while landing a trio of strikes. Mo looks for the takedown and Newton cracks him with a right, Mo scores a takedown on Newton and he gets leg control. Newton uses the wall walk to get the fight back to the standing position, Newton attacks Mo with a variety of kicks as the round ends.

Round Five

The round begins with Newton keeping Mo at bay by throwing a bunch of kicks, Mo pops a kicking Newton with a counter right. Newton responds by hitting a swinging Mo with a counter right of his own, Mo avoids another kick to force Newton against the cage wall. Newton continuously attacks Mo with a variety of kicks, Mo then hits a swinging Newton with a short right hook. Mo charges forward on Newton while throwing a lot of punches, Mo looks for the takedown after eating a right from Newton. Mo scores a takedown on Newton and he gets leg control, Newton uses the wall walk to stand up as the round ends.

Fight Result: Emmanuel Newton def. King Mo by unanimous decision (49-46, 49-46, 49-46) to win the championship

Main Event - Bellator Lightweight Title Fight

Michael Chandler (12-0-0) (Champion) vs. Eddie Alvarez (24-3-0)

Round One

The round begins with Alvarez popping Chandler with a right, Chandler responds by landing a kick to the midsection of Alvarez. Alvarez looks for the takedown on Chandler and it gets blocked, Chandler steps in and cracks Alvarez with a right. Alvarez responds by hitting Chandler with a counter left hook, Alvarez follows that up by catching Chandler with a telegraphed uppercut. Chandler catches a kick from Alvarez to score a takedown on him, Chandler looks for the rear naked choke and Alvarez escapes. Chandler tries to hit Alvarez with a knee strike as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Alvarez popping Chandler with a few jabs, Alvarez briefly rocks Chandler with a two punch combination. Alvarez continuously pops Chandler with straight lefts to the head, Chandler recovers by hitting Alvarez with a two punch combo. Chandler cracks Alvarez with a kick to the rib cage before scoring a trio of takedown, Chandler looks for another takedown while eating elbow strikes from Alvarez. Alvarez then cracks Chandler with a two punch combination, Chandler scores another takedown on Alvarez and he gets the open guard as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Alvarez popping Chandler with a high kick followed by a right, Chandler looks for a takedown and Alvarez instead hits him with some rights. Chandler forces Alvarez against the cage wall while looking for a takedown, Alvarez continues to pop an incoming Chandler with a lot of jabs. Alvarez continues to block a lot of takedown attempts from Chandler, Alvarez forces Chandler against the cage wall while attacking him with a plethora of strikes. Chandler scores a takedown on Alvarez and he gets back control, Alvarez stands up and shakes Chandler off of his back. Chandler scores another takedown on Alvarez and he gets the open guard as the round ends.

Round Four

The round begins with both fighters attacking the other with jabs, Alvarez starts chasing Chandler around the cage while landing some strikes. Chandler then rocks Alvarez with a jumping knee strike, Chandler finds a way to drag Alvarez to the ground and he gets the open guard. Chandler starts to attack Alvarez with some ground and pound, Chandler starts to mix in some elbow strikes in his attack on Alvarez. Chandler continues to nail Alvarez with strikes as the round ends.

Round Five

The round begins with Alvarez quickly hitting Chandler with an uppercut, Chandler again nails Alvarez with a flying knee strike. Chandler cracks a swinging Alvarez with an uppercut before getting a takedown, Chandler then gets back control on Alvarez. Alvarez scrambles to get the fight standing again, Alvarez forces Chandler against the cage wall while hitting him with knee strikes. Alvarez then rocks Chandler with a knee strike/punch combination, Alvarez again gets Chandler up against the cage wall while attacking him with hammer fists. Alvarez drags Chandler to the ground and he gets back control on him, Alvarez looks for the rear naked choke and Chandler breaks free, Chandler scrambles to escape submissions from Alvarez. Alvarez begins to attack Chandler with some ground and pound, Chandler breaks free and finds himself on top of Alvarez. Chandler stands up and scores another takedown on Alvarez as the round ends.
