UFC veteran Matt Riddle has been released by the Bellator Fighting Championships after he notified them that he would not fight on Friday’s Bellator 109 card. Riddle never actually fought for the promotion after signing a deal with them as a rib injury caused him to pull out of the season nine welterweight tournament. Riddle was released from the UFC after a pair of failed drug tests and has now been released from Bellator after not even fighting for the promotion, his last fight came in February of 2013.
