A bout to determine the promotions first lightweight champion as Justin Gaethje will again battle Gesias Cavalcante. Gaethje won the first encounter between the two after the fight was stopped due to a bad cut back at the World Series Of Fighting II. Cavalcante has won two of three under the WSOF banner, most notably defeating Tyson Griffin at the World Series Of Fighting IV. World Series Of Fighting VIII takes place on January 18th from the Seminole Hard Rock Casino & Hotel in Hollywood, Florida with the aforementioned fighters headlining.
