The UFC’s loss is One FC’s gain as former Bellator Welterweight Champion Ben Askren has signed with the promotion. Askren currently holds a 12-0-0 record as a professional MMA fighter, with victories over such names as Ryan Thomas, Dan Hornbuckle, Lyman Good, Nick Thompson, Jay Hieron, Douglas Lima and Karl Amoussou. While the One FC promotion does not have the most stacked welterweight division, fighters like Kamal Shalorus, Igor Gracie, Nobutatsu Suzuki, Phil Baroni and Yoshiyuki Yoshida should provide stiff challenges for the former champion. No debut date has been set yet for Askren and One FC, but it should come early in 2014.
