The upcoming World Series Of Fighting VIII preliminary card has four additions as Scott Barrett versus Derrick Mehmen, Luis Palomino faces Richard Patishnock, Sidemar Honorio faces Alexis Vila and Freddy Assuncao faces Brenson Hansen. Barrett has won three of his last four fights, with one of those victories coming over UFC veteran Mike Wessel. Mehmen is currently undefeated in WSOF competition, having defeated Rolles Gracie by knockout at WSOF V. Palomino has only won one of his last three fights, with one of those losses coming to UFC veteran Efrain Escudero. Patishnock is currently undefeated in WSOF competition, having defeated both Igor Gracie and Gregor Gracie.
Honorio is currently winless under the WSOF banner, having dropped a fight to Jimmie Rivera at the WSOF V. Vila has only won two of his last six, but he is a veteran of the Bellator Fighting Championships promotion. Assuncao will enter the fight riding a six fight winning streak, which includes a victory over MTV reality show star Kit Cope. Hansen is currently undefeated in WSOF competition, defeating both Tom Marcellino and Josh Montalvo. World Series Of Fighting VIII takes place on January 18th from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida with Justin Gaethje and Lewis Gonzalez headlining.
