Following a winless run in the promotion, Jose Maria Tome has been released by the UFC, his current MMA record is 33-5-0-2NC. During his run in the UFC, Tome dropped fights to the duo of John Lineker and Dustin Ortiz respectively. Although no future plans have been announced by Tome at this point, one could assume that a return to his native Brazil is in the works.
