A pair of title bouts will headline the World Series Of Fighting IX as Steve Carl defends the welterweight belt against Rousimar Palhares and Marlon Moraes faces Josh Rettinghouse for the vacant bantamweight title. Carl will be making the first defense of his championship, which he won by defeating Josh Burkman at the WSOF VI. Palhares will be making his promotional debut in this fight and it will be his first bout since his UFC release.
Moraes has won all four of his previous WSOF bouts, with a notable victory coming over Carson Beebe at the WSOF VI. Rettinghouse is also undefeated in WSOF competition, with his victory coming over Alexis Vila at the WSOF VI. World Series Of Fighting IX takes place on March 29th from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada with Steve Carl and Rousimar Palhares headlining.
