A highly anticipated UFC Middleweight Title bout as champion Chris Weidman will defend the gold against Vitor Belfort. Weidman will be making the second defense of his championship, last defending it against Anderson Silva at UFC 168. Belfort will get the opportunity after winning three straight fights, last defeating Dan Henderson at UFC Fight Night 32. UFC 173 takes place on May 24th from a location TBA in Las Vegas, Nevada with the aforementioned fighters headlining.
