On Friday night, February 7th, everyone will be thankful it’s Friday
because Absolute Intense Wrestling (AIW) will return to the legendary
Turners Hall (7325 Guthrie Ave, 44102) in Cleveland, OH to present TGIF!
Bell time will be at 7:30pm with doors opening at 6:30pm.
Coming off the heels of the wildly successful Dead Presidents event in
December, TGIF promises to deliver all the action and excitement you’ve
come to expect from AIW.
In the Main Event, the brand new AIW Absolute Champion Michael Elgin will
begin his reign by attempting to fend off the challenge of former champion
Drake Younger. Will Younger be able to continue the trend of frequent
Absolute Title changes or will Elgin begin to bring stability back to the
championship?
The AIW Intense Title will also be defended at TGIF when Louis Lyndon puts
the belt up for grabs against the King of Cleveland, Johnny Gargano. After
upsetting Kevin Steen at Dead Presidents, will Lyndon be able to score
another major victory over The Whole Shebang?
In yet another title match, the longest reigning AIW Women’s Champion in
history, Allysin Kay will give Veda Scott one more chance at the title.
Will Veda be able to overcome the odds and end Kay’s illustrious run on
top of the GNO Division?
Tim Donst will take on Danny Havoc in a Hardcore Match. Donst laid out the
challenge to Havoc after defeating Chris Hero at Dead Presidents. Will
Donst be able to continue his winning streak or will Havoc be too much for
Donst to handle?
Ring of Honor’s Kyle O’Reilly will square off against Bobby Beverly at
TGIF. After breaking away from #NIXON in 2013, Beverly will have to face
his toughest test to date in Richards on February 7th.
AIW welcomes back Kevin Steen who will be at TGIF in his quest to get
revenge on the man known as #ALLEGO.
The AIW Tag Team Titles will be on the line at TGIF when the Boys from
Jollyville (Nasty Russ & T-Money) defend against the wild and wooly
Hooligans.
#NIXON will explode at TGIF when Rickey Shane Page takes on Eric Ryan with
The Duke serving as special guest referee. Per the orders of Chest Flexor,
the winner of this match will receive an AIW contract.
A Six-Man Scramble will take shake things up at TGIF. Colin Delaney, Tyson
Dux, Ty Colton, Davey Vega, Flip Kendrick, & Matt Cross will electrify the
audience but only man can raise his hand victorious when it’s over.
