RightCoastPro Wrestling “Elements of Chance” Results from 2/22/14 – Newark, Delaware
·        Bazooka Joe retains Championship over Joey Silver
·        “Self-Made” Michael Blake loses the “Spin The Wheel” match to Chris “The Show” Steeler in which the stipulation was LOSER LEAVES RCP!
·        Pedro Duro wins the “Bowtie On A Pole” match over Mozart Fontaine that turned into a lumberjack match with Mexican Luchadores vs RCP wrestlers
·        “God’s Gift” Aaron Stride wins over Courageous Cruz
·        Ryan “Adrenaline” Rush wins over Francis Kipland Stevens
·        “Valedictorian” Billy Bax wins over Colton Quest
·        “Dirty” Sonny Deeds and Erik Chapel go to a double DQ for both men pushing the referee in a heated battle
·        Debuting Jason Gotti, Alvin Alvarez and last minute substitute Chris “The Show” Steeler take the win over “Mr Upgrade” Mike Reed, Nick Sohlo and Harry M Baldwin
The show starts off with a high-energy video package of prior happenings and the scheduled matches for the night on the Mega-Tron.  Then a clip shows Mister Crister (CEO) on an emergency phone call and turning all show duties over to a reluctant ring announcer, Michael Rose, as he runs frantically from the building.  No explanation from Mister Crister on his situation.  Clarke Kelly mysteriously walks by with a sinister grin as all this is going down.

Michael Rose then starts off “Elements of Chance” with a 6-man Shuffle featuring “Mr Upgrade” Mike Reed with his Talent Agent Clarke Kelly, “Mercenary” Nick Sohlo with his manager Sebastian Night and Harry M. Baldwin set to face debuting Jason Gotti, Alvin Alvarez and “Heavyweight” Sean Royal.  An announcement was made that there was a mix up and Sean Royal was not in the building, so Gotti and Alvarez could go into the back and pick any partner of their choice.  They return with “Wrestlings Man of Steel” Chris Steeler to a huge pop from the crowd.  Mike Reed had just cut a promo and showed video clips of how he beat Chris Steeler the previous month, so the obvious choice for Gotti and Alvarez was to pick Steeler.  This match was definitely a “shuffle” with everyone equally involved with beating down Gotti.  Once he garnered his composure, he was able to tag in Steeler for the pin on Reed.  The good guys take this one with their unanticipated ace in Steeler.

“God’s Gift” Aaron Stride then bursts onto the stage with microphone in hand.  Even before being announced for his first official match with RCP, Stride stirs up the crowd by cutting a promo on how Chris Steeler is a fake super hero and that he is afraid of him.  Stride then proceeds to cut down his opponent for the night, the real super hero, Courageous Cruz.  While threatening the crowd with talking all night long, the man in charge, Michael Rose, steps up and gets the match going.  A great match ensues with lots of high flying from Cruz and pizazz from Stride.  Stride ends up beating down Cruz and getting the pin.  At least we know Stride is a man of his word, he beat down Cruz and then he won, just like he said he would.  Time will tell if his threats for Steeler hold true.

Next, a video segment plays from Max Mikado backstage reporting some type of Mexican Luchadore army invasion.  Does Pedro Duro have something to do with it, who knows?   Then we see Harry M Baldwin flirting with the new trainer while getting treatment.  Let’s just say it all went bananas and he ends up kissing a monkey, you just had to be there!

Next up is Ryan “Adrenaline” Rush facing crowd favorite Francis Kipland Stevens.  In a back and forth fight of determination and willpower, Stevens went toe-to-toe with the bigger, meaner Rush and took all the abuse he was dishing out.  The nerd, Stevens really has no “quit” in him but the more powerful, stronger Rush finally got the best of him and took the pin over an almost unconscious body.  Looks like Rush actually felt a little sorry for Stevens at the end, but still didn’t stop him from getting the 1-2-3!   Out comes Talent Agent, Clarke Kelly to present Rush with his business card.

Our next contest was “Valedictorian” Billy Bax vs Colton Quest.  Bax, fresh off his win over Matt Striker last month, has more of an attitude than previously.  Walking to the ring insulting everyone and everything around him as he usually does, just got him more boo’s than normal.   Out comes Colton Quest to a wildly responsive crowd, either they really love Quest, or really hate Bax!  The match kicks starts with some very technical chain wrestling and swift moves by Bax.  Quest counter-attacks with some great maneuvers of his own and looks strong throughout the matchup.  His inexperience and very few missteps were just enough for the cunning Bax to take advantage and win the match.  Good fight Quest, but the win goes to Bax giving him a 3-for-3 winning streak since regaining his cap & gown.

Again, Max Mikado reports from backstage about the Mexican Luchadore invasion.  This time he has security footage showing Pedro Duro sneaking in masked men from the production trailer and into the back doors.  What could this possible mean?

Anticipation was building for this next match.  “Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal” with “Self-Made” Michael Blake and Chris “The Show” Steeler.  No one knew the match stipulation until they got to the ring and the wheel was spun.  Ladder Match?  Street Fight?  No Holds Barred?   -  No, it was none of the above, it was a “Loser Leaves RCP” match stipulation!   The stakes just jumped tremendously higher for the competition!  Two of RCP’s top performers now had their jobs on the line pending the outcome of the match.  Blake of course had to tip the odds in his favor by bringing back Aaron Stride to torment Steeler and take his attention from the task at hand.  Blake and Steeler went about the match in a serious manner, with hard-hitting, intense action and of course interference by Mikes Guy with the brief case to the head of Steeler after Stride offered up the perfect distraction for the ref! Nonetheless, Michael Rose steps up, bans Stride from ringside and allows the match to continue.  A barrage of back and forth hard-hitting, no-nonsense action continues until finally Steeler is able to subdue Blake.  Perhaps Steeler was the stronger competitor; perhaps he was just a little smarter, or perhaps Blake is just not as enterprising as he thinks he is with his “Flock of Seagulls” hairstyle and his bedazzled right-hand man, Guy!  The whole crowd enjoyed a few versus of ‘Na, na, naaa, na, hey, hey, hey, good bye!”

After a short intermission of cartoons, announcements and flipping hotdogs on the Mega-Tron, “Dirty” Sonny Deeds takes on high-flying Eric Chapel in a mixed up matching of styles.  Deeds with his heavy-handed ground and pound tried furiously to keep Chapel on the mat.  Chapel, on the other hand was flyer all over the ring in an attempt to take Deeds down.  The fight got heated pretty quickly and the rule book went out the window at that point.  Seems to be history between these two that was coming across loud and clear! Deeds shoved the ref out of the way to continue fighting.  Chapel shoved the ref so he could keep fighting.  Then they both shoved the ref so they could continue working on each other.  There were some serious issues and fists flying around in the ring before the ref had to call for a double DQ.  Order had to be restored to the show, but were the personal issues resolved as they fought back through the curtain, time will tell!

Oh boy!  Now was time for the “Bowtie On A Pole” match between “Mexican Hardcore Champ” Pedro Duro and “The Chick Magnet” Mozart Fontaine.  Previously, Duro stole Fontaines signature bowtie and claimed it as his own.  Last month the match between these two was “Bowtie vs Mask” if Mozart won, he got his bowtie back and Duro had to unmask.  Well, Duro had a cheating partner come from nowhere and afforded him the win (keep the bowtie).   The stakes were raised this time, up on a pole that is, and first competitor to the top of the pole to grab the bowtie is the winner.   First competitor to the ring is Pedro Duro.  Following him is a huge army of Mexican Luchadores, supposedly there to only watch.  Mozart Fontaine makes his entrance, sees all the luchadores and brings out an army of his own – half the RCP locker room of wrestlers and security staff!  The crowd goes wild at this point and chants for a rumble.  Instead of throwing everyone out, Michael Rose steps up and makes the match a lumberjack match.  This was a tremendous idea until all the lumberjacks broke out into a brawl and ended up not paying attention to the ring.  In the meantime, back in the ring, another masked man jumps the ropes and attacks Fontaine.  Duro climbs the pole and grabs the bowtie.  The ref, none the wiser, declares Duro the winner and raises his hand.

Again Michael Rose has to step in and take control.  Who is this masked man and why is he beating down Fontaine?  Rose demands that he unmasks and states his business. WHAT?  NO!   Not Aaron Stride AGAIN!  This guy is becoming a real pain!   Seeing that Stride continues to cause trouble, Steeler returns ringside to help Fontaine, and then goes after Stride.  The refs pull them apart as the crowd screams for a match.  Michael Rose, now feeling more comfortable with his role as CEO, decides to sign a match for March 29th!  A tag team match, Pedro Duro & Aaron Stride vs Mozart Fontaine & Chris Steeler was signed on the spot.  All members signed the contract and it was official!  Except for, UH OH! You all signed in the wrong spots!  Looks like we are having Duro and Fontaine team together to face Stride and Steeler on the other team, what a mess!  Would Mister Crister have made this mistake if he were in charge?   No one was happy with this outcome; we’ll see what comes of this mess on March 29th!

The finale of the night comes as 225 people are on their feet screaming for Joey Silver in the Championship match against reigning Heavyweight Champion Bazooka Joe.   Never before has RightCoastPro had such an enthusiastic and energetic crowd at this point in the show!  Silver surely shines for this crowd!   Bazooka Joes championship reign consists of all opponents drawn out of a basket.  With Silver being drawn the first opponent, the crowd really got behind the much smaller, less experienced underdog in the race.  Silver put up a valiant fight, took all the hard punches and kicks and got back up almost every time.  Silver surprised Bazooka Joe with a few good moves, his quickness and agility.  In the end, Silvers fight just angered the Champ more.  Silver attempted a top rope maneuver, only to find himself caught in Bazooka Joes finishing O3.  AAahhh, it was such a good fight, but Silver didn’t get the Gold, Bazooka Joe remains Heavyweight Champion after a brutal match with a surprisingly tough contender!

Michael Rose returns to the ring with the basket of names for Bazooka Joe to pull his next opponent for March 29th.  First name out of the basket is “Tribal Warrior” Fallah.  Bazooka Joe sighs as he realizes he goes from being the big man in the ring this month, to the smaller man next month!

See you all next month!
Next Event: March 29th, 2014
