Vitor Belfort has pulled himself from the upcoming UFC 173 card due to the NSAC new TRT stance, replacing him against Chris Weidman will be Lyoto Machida. Weidman will be making the second defense of his championship, last defending against Anderson Silva at UFC 168. Machida has been undefeated as a middleweight in the UFC, defeating both Gegard Mousasi and Mark Munoz. UFC 173 takes place on May 24th from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with the aforementioned fighters headlining.
