TUF CHAMPION ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT

UFC Ultimate Fighter 6 champion Mac Danzig has announced his retirement from MMA competition, his career record was 21-12-1. Danzig had a six year run in the UFC, earning a record of 5-8-0 in the promotion and he walks away from competition on a three fight losing streak. During his twelve-plus year MMA career, Danzig fought top names like Kurt Pellegrino, Jason Von Flue, Hayato Sakurai, Tom Speer, Mark Bocek, Clay Guida, Josh Neer, Jim Miller, Joe Stevenson, Takanori Gomi, Melvin Guillard and Joe Lauzon. Danzig's last professional MMA fight came at UFC On Fox IX, he suffered a unanimous decision loss to the aforementioned Lauzon.
