Will Chope, who was scheduled to fight Diego Brandao on the Fox Sports 1 portion of the preliminary card for UFC Fight Night 38, has both been pulled from the event and released by the UFC, The release comes after a report posted on Saturday Night by the Bleacher Report stated that Chope was discharged from the United States Air Force five years ago for threatening his then wife with a knife. Brando will still be paid his fight money and a win bonus, despite not competing on the card after the news story broke. It is expected that a bout between Godofredo Pepey and Noad Lahat will be promoted to the Fox Sports 1 portion of the preliminary card.
