A light heavyweight division contest as former Strikeforce Welterweight Champion Nate Marquardt returns to the division to battle James Te Huna. Marquardt will enter the fight riding a three fight losing streak and he has not won a fight in almost two years. Te Huna will enter the fight riding a two fight losing streak, with those losses coming to Glover Teixeira and Mauricio Rua. UFC Fight Night 44 takes place on June 28th from the Vector Arena in Auckland, New Zealand with the aforementioned fighters headlining.
