By David Tees on 4/16/2014 10:37 PM

Kicking off a busy Friday Night of MMA action will be another top notch card from the Bellator Fighting Championships. The event will be headlined by a bout for the vacant welterweight title as Rick Hawn faces Douglas Lima. Also, the lightweight tournament semi-finals takes place and top ranked Karl Amoussou is competing.

Kicking off the action is a welterweight division attraction as Karl “Psycho” Amoussou (16-6-2) competes against David Gomez (16-7-0). Amoussou will enter the fight riding a two fight losing streak and he once challenged for the Bellator Welterweight Title. Gomez will be making his Bellator debut in this fight and he is a longtime veteran of the King Of The Cage promotion. Amoussou has been stumbling as of late, but he is going to right the ship and get back on track when he defeats Gomez.

A lightweight tournament semi-final round fight is next as Derek “The Barbaric” Anderson (11-0-0-1NC) battles Marcin Held (17-3-0). Anderson earned his spot in the tournament semi-finals after defeating Brandon Girtz at Bellator 113. Held punched his ticket to the second round of the tournament after beating Rodrigo Cavalheiro at Bellator 113. Held has been unstoppable until he reaches the finals of a tournament, Held will be Anderson to make it back to the finals.

Up next is a lightweight tournament semi-final round bout as Derek “The Stallion” Campos (14-3-0) takes on Patricky “Pitbull” Freire (12-5-0). Campos punched his ticket to the semi-finals after defeating Tim Welch by unanimous decision at Bellator 113. Freire was able to call himself a tournament semi-finalist after defeating David Rickels at Bellator 113. Freire has seen a career resurgence in his last few fights and that resurgence will continue as he defeats Campos to go to the finals.

Headlining this card is a bout for the vacant Bellator Welterweight Title as Douglas “The Phenom” Lima (25-5-0) faces Rick “Genghis” Hawn (18-2-0). Lima earned his spot in this bout after winning the season eight welterweight tournament, defeating UFC veteran Ben Saunders in the finals. Hawn earned this opportunity at the championship after winning the season nine welterweight tournament, defeating Ron Keslar in the finals. These are easily the two best welterweights in Bellator at the moment, but it will be Lima getting the gold in the end.
