Former Strikeforce Middleweight Champion and UFC veteran Jake Shields has signed a multi-fight deal with the World Series Of Fighting, he is expected to debut in July. Shields garnered a record of 4-3-0-1NC during his time in the UFC and he unsuccessfully challenged then champion Georges St. Pierre for the gold at UFC 129. Shields will compete in the WSOF Welterweight Division, which current features Rousimar Palhares as champion.
