A UFC Featherweight Title rematch as champion Jose Aldo will again defend the championship against Chad Mendes. Aldo first defeated Mendes at UFC 142 and has since defended the belt successfully three times since that bout. Mendes has won five straight bouts since that loss to Aldo, last defeating Nik Lentz at UFC On Fox IX. UFC 176 takes place on August 2nd from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California with the aforementioned fighters headlining.
