The main event of the first ever Bellator pay-per-view, Bellator 120, has been thrown a major curve ball as current lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez has suffered a concussion and is now off the pay-per-view. Will Brooks, the season eight lightweight tournament winner, will be moved from a fight against Nate Jolly at the event to now facing Michael Chandler. Jolly, who was Brooks original opponent, will either be removed from the card or given a new opponent.
With champion Alvarez off the card, there is a chance that Michael Chandler and Will Brooks could fight for an interim title, but no announcement has been made. Also to be noted is that there are two rumors going around suggesting that the event could be moved from pay-per-view to free TV and Quinton Jackson versus King Mo could be slotted to the main event spot. Bellator 120 takes place on May 17th from the Landers Center in Southaven, Mississippi with Michael Chandler and Will Brooks headlining.
