In what is becoming the norm for the UFC nowadays, the promotion will be running two events on the same day. The UFC Ultimate Fighter Brazil III Finale will be headlined by a heavyweight division bout pitting Stipe Miocic against Fabio Maldonado. There will be three preliminary card fights airing on UFC Fight Pass, with top prospect Pedro Munhoz in action.
Kicking off the action is a bantamweight division bout as Matt “The Crowbar†Hobar (8-1-0) battles Pedro “The Young Punisher†Munhoz (10-1-0). Hobar will be making his UFC debut in this fight and he is a veteran of the Legacy Fighting Championships. Munhoz is currently winless under the UFC banner, having dropped a fight to Raphael Assuncao at UFC 170. Munhoz nearly defeated a top UFC bantamweight in his last fight, he will learn from that to defeat Hobar and get his first UFC win.
Up next is a middleweight division bout as Marcos Rogerio “Pezao†De Lima (11-2-1) takes on Richardson “Rick Monstro†Moreira (7-1-0). De Lima will be making his UFC debut in this fight, but he does hold a victory over former WEC Middleweight Champion Paulo Filho. Moreira will also be making his UFC debut in this fight, but he has previously defeated UFC veteran Antonio Mendes. These are two of the better middleweight prospects coming out of Brazil right now, but it will be De Lima making a successful UFC debut.
Headlining this portion of the card is a middleweight division fight as Ricardo “Demente†Abreu (4-0-0) faces Wagner “Wagnao†Silva (3-0-0). Abreu will be making his UFC debut in this fight and none of his fights have gone past the opening round. Silva will also be making his UFC debut in this fight and he is a veteran of the Watch Of Combat Show. This fight is a great way to cap of this portion of the preliminary card, but it will be Abreu staying undefeated in the end.
