ONE FC 17 MAIN CARD PREVIEW

By David Tees on 6/10/2014 10:18 PM

Starting off a Saturday filled with MMA action will be another loaded card from the One FC promotion. The event will be headlined by a flyweight division bout as Adriano Moraes competes against Kosuke Suzuki. Also, Geje Eustaquio competes and plenty of top international MMA prospects will be competing as well.

Kicking off the action is a flyweight division affair as Ruel “The Avenger” Catalan (2-4-0) competes against Gianni Subba (3-1-0). Catalan is currently undefeated in One FC competition, having defeated Khim Dima by TKO at One FC 13. Subba has spent his entire career in the One FC promotion, but he is coming off of a loss to Eugene Toquero at One FC 15. Catalan should be nowhere near this card and the fans will see why when Subba dominates him to get the win.

Another flyweight division bout is next as Joseph Omano (0-0-0) does battle against Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke (0-0-0). Omana will be making his professional MMA debut in this fight and he has no amateur experience to speak of. Amnuaysirichoke will also be making his professional MMA debut in this fight and he has no amateur experience as well. This fight is as much of a pick 'em as you can get in this one, but it will be Amnuaysirichoke getting the win.

The bantamweight division will be featured next as Yohan Mulia Legowo (7-2-0) is in action against Ev Ting (6-2-0). Legowo will be making his One FC debut in this fight and he is a longtime veteran of the Legends Fighting Championships. Ting will also be making his One FC debut in this fight and he has previously defeated UFC veteran Will Chope. These two fighters are good additions to the company, but it will be Ting making a successful promotional debut.

A welterweight division bout is next as Mahmoud “Steel Man” Salama (4-4-0) dukes it out with Aung La “The Burmese Python” N Sang (14-9-0-1NC). Salama has only won one of his last five fights and this will be his first fight in just about a complete year. N Sang will be making his One FC debut in this fight, but he has competed in the Cage Fury Fighting Championships promotion. N Sang is just a little bit better when competed to Salama and that will be enough to get him the victory.

More flyweight division action is happening next as Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio (5-2-0) battles Kentaro Watanabe (10-4-0). Eustaquio has won two of three fights under the One FC banner, last defeating Eugene Toquero at One FC 13. Watanabe will be making his One FC debut in this fight and he is a longtime veteran of the Shooto promotion. Watanabe has a lot of hype behind him heading into his promotional debut and he will get the win in his One FC debut.

Up next is a bantamweight division contest as Sami Amin (4-1-0) will be taking on Fransino Tirta (15-0-1). Amin will be making his One FC debut in this fight and he has spent his entire career in the Egyptian Fighting Championships. Tirta will also be making his One FC debut in this fight, but he has not competed in just about three full years. It is rare to see two fighters making their promotional debuts get such a prominent spot on the card, but it will be Tirta making a successful return to action.

Headlining this card is a flyweight division bout as Adriano “Black Diamond” Moraes (10-1-0) faces Kosuke “Rambo” Suzuki (10-3-2). Moraes is coming off of the biggest win of his career, as he defeated UFC veteran Yasuhiro Urishitani at One FC 14. Suzuki will be making his One FC debut in this fight and he has previously spent his entire career in the Shooto promotion. Moraes is coming into the fight with a lot of momentum behind him and he will ride that momentum to defeat Suzuki.
