A welterweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night 49 as Thiago Alves battles Jordan Mein. Alves returned to action after a two year layoff at UFC On Fox 11, where he defeated Seth Baczynski by decision. Mein has won two of three fights under the UFC banner, most notably defeating Dan Miller at UFC 158. UFC Fight Night 49 takes place on August 23rd from the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma with no headliner announced as of yet.
