Longtime UFC veteran Brandon Vera has been released from the UFC after a nine year run, his current MMA record is 12-7-0. During his nine year run in the UFC, Vera fought top names like Frank Mir, Tim Sylvia, Fabricio Werdum, Keith Jardine, Randy Couture, Jon Jones, Thiago Silva, Mauricio Rua and Ben Rothwell. Vera's last bout in the promotion came at UFC 164 in August 2013, where he lost a bout to Ben Rothwell by TKO.
