Five more bouts have been added to the UFC Fight Night 48 card as Zhang Lipeng faces Brendan O'Reilly, Danny Mitchell faces Wang Sai, Alberto Mina faces Sheldon Westcott, Wang Anying faces Colby Covington and Royston Wee faces Yao Zhikui. Lipeng is currently undefeated in UFC competition, having defeated Wang Sai at UFC Fight Night: Kim vs. Hathaway. O'Reilly will be making his UFC debut in this fight and he is a veteran of the Fury MMA promotion.
Mitchell is currently winless under the UFC banner, having dropped a fight to Igor Araujo at UFC Fight Night: Gustafsson vs. Manuwa. Sai is also winless under the UFC banner, having lost a bout to Zhang Lipeng at UFC Fight Night: Kim vs. Hathway. Mina will be making his UFC debut in this fight and only two of his ten career fights went past the first round. Westcott is currently winless under the UFC banner, having lost a bout to Elias Theodorou at the UFC Ultimate Fighter Nations Finale.
Anying is currently undefeated in UFC competition, having defeated Albert Cheng by TKO at UFC Fight Night: Kim vs. Hathaway. Covington will be making his UFC debut in this bout and he is a veteran of the Fight Time MMA promotion. Wee is currently undefeated under the UFC banner, having defeated Dave Galera by decision at UFC Fight Night: Saffiedine vs. Lim. Zhikui will be making his UFC debut in this fight and he does so after being away from competition for over a year.
UFC Fight Night 48 takes place on August 23rd from the Cotai Arena in Macau, China with Cung Le and Michael Bisping headlining.
